NOEL (North Okanagan Early Literacy Project)

The North Okanagan Early Literacy Project provides a continuum of early literacy information and programs to families with children from birth to age 6 in communities throughout the North Okanagan (Vernon, Lumby, Armstrong, Enderby, Cherryville and Falkland). The Goal is that more children will enter Kindergarten with the pre-literacy skills they need to have early school success.

Nobody’s Perfect Parenting Program

This groups offers opportunities for parents to lealrn about ehri children at different ages, keeping them healthy & safe. The group meets once a week for six weeks. Transportation, child care & snacks are provided.

Child care providers are supported though information, outreach, Toy & Resource library, networking and learning opportunities.

Parents are supported through parenting information, our Toy & Resource library, parenting workshops, and general community referrals regarding children and families.

We work with the community to strive for quality inclusive child care services that meet the needs of local families and promote the healthy development of children.

Outdoor Swimming Pool

Located in the Armstrong -Spallumcheen Memorial Park, the heated outdoor pool is open from late May to September 1.The pool offers a complete learn-to-swim program during July and August with hours set aside for the enjoyment of swimming in an outdoor atmosphere.
